THERMAL BARRIER SERVES AS A SECOND SKIN OF PROTECTION IN EXTREME HOT OR COLD ENVIRONMENTS.
Roof Thermal Barrier Panel - Consisting of a multi-layer laminate of space-age materials that reflects hot and cold outward and away from the shelter interior. This lightweight roof panel is designed to hang loosely between the roof trusses to create a dead-air pocket up to eight inches deep. It is this combination of reflective material and the dead-air space that creates such an effective thermal barrier to hot and cold weather. Because the roof thermal barrier panel is so lightweight and requires little storage space, it is recommended for use on all shelters in all temperature ranges.
Wall Thermal Barrier Panels - Aluminized material with thousands of small, air-filled chambers creates dead air space with a highly effective heat-reflective surface. A white, 200-denier fire retardant fabric is quilted to the insulation materials to provide a light and pleasant interior to the Western Shelter. It also dampens exterior noise considerably. Wall thermal barrier panels are recommend for shelters to be deployed in extreme hot or cold environments and for those shelters used for field medical applications.
