Easy-Sealing Floors Secure the Environment

By listening carefully to the people who use their shelter systems, Western Shelter has again engineered several unique improvements to their industry-leading portable facilities.

The new patent-pending, easy-sealing floor is unique to the Gatekeeper System. It’s called the Easy-Sealing Floor System because of how easy and fast the walls are attached to the floor berms. A special gasket process at the vestibule floor connections insure that water will not enter the shelter during fowl weather and heavy rains.

Faster and Easier Deployment

When the GateKeeper Easy-Seal floor is deployed, the resulting shelter will feature a much tighter and smoother-under-foot fit that prevents the floor from slipping in icy conditions.

As the walls are attached to the frame, the unique welded vinyl interior flap drops over the floor berm to create a hook-and-loop seal between the wall bottom and the floor’s upright berm.  Hook-and-loop flaps seal the corners; and new lap-lock buckles and cinch straps tension the walls to the lower frame bars.

The new Gatekeeper Easy-Sealing Floor System creates a more effectively sealed environment for those users who choose to operate a negative pressure isolation medical facility. Heating and air conditioning becomes more efficient.

Quality Construction Enhances Durability

The flooring material is 18.5 oz. gray vinyl with both UV and fungus-resistant treatments. All- weather tube lights reflect off of all the interior vinyl surfaces to create an almost shadowless glow. The Western Shelter desert sand-colored walls and roofs are of 14 oz. UV and fungus-resistant vinyl. The Easy-Sealing Floor System continues to support door access and threshold ramps at any bar section for maximum configuration options.
